Kronenbourg 1664

Draught in Reims. Clear golden, effervescent pour with a weak head. Big "thumbs down," didn’t even finish the 0,33L. Crisp but utterly boring, expected this from a US macro, thin. Amazing how much this tasted like a can...

Tap @ Lamb and Flag, Oxford, England. This beer was disappointing. Golden yellow color, clear, with high carbonation. White head, that stayed longer than many pale lagers. Mouthfeel was very harsh and very bitter. Not a good combination. Very little flavor at all, and much of what I tasted was hops, but it wasn’t smooth or even enjoyable. I see this in stores and on tap in the U.S., and I may try it once more, but very disappointing nonetheless.

Bottle. White quickly disappearing head. Yellow clear body. Malt aroma. Disappointing malt flavor.

500ml can. Pours a light golden colour with a medium white head which quickly disipates to a ring with very little lacing. There is very little aroma, whats there is sweet. The taste is of some malt and hops but very little of either. This beer has posibilities but it is too watered down. I thing it would be a nice beer if served cold on a warm day but what beer wouldn’t.

Not a bad beer, really. There’s just not that much to it. Both aroma and flavor are faint, a sweet bready malt with some grassy hops - - but both are barely there. Watery finish. The end.

Just a hint of skunkiness. Some bready aromas, and grassiness, hops as an afterthought. Just not very good at all.

Can pours golden with a small disappearing head. There are hops in there, I can smell them, but the flavour is mainly sweet. This beer lacks balance and has the wrong mouthfeel for the style.
