cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Dec 26, 2005 This beer tastes like Becks Light. Nice gold color. Head fades to a thin layer quickly. Flavor and aroma nothing special. This beer actually tasted better than I expected. I probably won’t by it again, but if someone gave me one, I drink it. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Dec 11, 2005 Golden colour, rather small, diminishing white head. Fresch malty aroma, smouth taste, rather bitter finish. Nothing special, just another international lager tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Dec 4, 2005 French should not be allowed to brew beer. Tastes like a normal green bottle import. Meaning bad. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Nov 27, 2005 Tap. The keg appears to be pretty fresh, which is fortunate. It pours to a golden body with a dense creamy white head. Dense lacing. The aroma is flowery and citrusy. Not too bad. The flavor is like a hopped up, lightly astringent pilsener. Very fresh as it isn’t skunky. The palate is very easy to drink. Medium light bodied and very smooth. I would possibly drink this again. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA Nov 24, 2005 Brewtopia 11-12-05. This was really nothing great. Just a so-so lager. Tobias10 (99), London, Bedfordshire, England Nov 24, 2005 An astringent, flavourless, gassy beer served far to cold. Mass produced quickly with no ’largering ’process and full of chemicals. French : stick to wine, your good at that, leave the beer to people who know what they are doing! yalnikim (776), Wellington, New Zealand Nov 20, 2005 Updated: Nov 21, 2005Tasted 19/11/2005. 330ml bottle while dining at Francois, Wellington.
Yellow-gold, bright, white head, smoothly carbonated, mild honey nose and flavour, a drying bitterness with little hop flavour, lightweight, techincally correct (for a category that interests the willing majority more than it interests me). It’s what you expect and that is, unfortunately, pretty disappointing. When in France... go for wine, I suppose. That’s a bit harsh, I know. tinydancer (52), Gibsonville, North Carolina, USA Nov 15, 2005 Possibly good on a warm day out in the yard. Reminiscent of a Hieny or Paulie’s Girl, but maybe thinner than those. I drank this right out of the fridge, so it might have been a little too cold for a extremely accurate tasting.
