| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 13, 2003 The aroma is a bit skunky and wet newspaper like - probably due to the green bottle (which has an unusual and interesting shape). Appearance - almost see through light golden with liitle to no head. Flavor has a bit of a hoppy bite to it with some underlying sweetness. Kind of an odd mouthfeel to it - slightly stinging. Not a bad lager overall - but the French should stick to wine. ogivlado (3088), Zagreb, Croatia

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2005 On tap. Small, creamy-white head lasted and laced well. Golden colour, quite effervescent. No aroma that I could discern. Faint malt in the taste, though that might have been wishful thinking. Slight bitterness was not disagreeable. This isn’t bad if you’re thirsty. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Draught at the Motley Cow in Iowa City, IA. Clear golden color. Bubbly white head had some staying power and left some spotted lace on the glass. Skunky, sprucy hop aroma with a whiff of malty cereal grain and honey. Grassy flavor accented by malty cereal grain. Dry on the tongue with subdued bitterness. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

I tried this one more than once (out of a can, from tap, from a bottle) and it wasn’t very good. I think they named this beer 1664, so i could give this beer a 1.664. 1.6 comes close. rauchbier (3002), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

Barely noticable malt notes. That should mean it is nicely balanced, but in reality its just ordinary. presario (2987), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 9, 2002 A decent but light European Lager. Aftertaste is pleasant and lingers long after the beer is gone. Lighter hops than I would have expected. Good head but on the whole unremarkable.
