Surprisingly hoppy aroma, which was promising. Flavour took care of that though, just nothing going on at all, fizzy, and entirely inoffensive. I will admit, there was a little bit more of a malt character to the body than the appearance suggested. Pretty bland after a promising start. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Tap at Sugar Lounge: Golden pourwith a thin white head. Boring starw aroma. The flavor is mineral-like, with only a hint of cheap Euro-hops and straw. A Typical Pale Lager. downender (2615), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 6, 2007 On tap. Another euro lager. The standard gold colour with a white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt and faint hops. Flavour started sweet before a mildly bitter finish. Clear, light orange yellow body with some quick-rising big bubbles and pours a big foamy white head. Flavour holds sweet straw and light yeast, fairly bland. Light body has sweet roundness. Tastes better than it smells, could almost repeat but for that aroma. ChainGangGuy (2592), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA

Appearance: Pours a clear, goldish body with a small, white head. Splotchy lacing.
Smell: Light pale maltiness with a bit of doughiness to it. Mild, musty skunk notes.
Taste: Light pale malts with a mild, restrained sweetness and a hint of dough and grits. Faint, brief traces of lemon and apple fruitiness. Floral hops with a light bitterness. Dry finish with a hint of the alcohol within.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: While 1664 isn’t quite 1337, it’s better than a sizable portion of the endless parade of Euro lagers available. 1FastSTi (2569), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Tap. The keg appears to be pretty fresh, which is fortunate. It pours to a golden body with a dense creamy white head. Dense lacing. The aroma is flowery and citrusy. Not too bad. The flavor is like a hopped up, lightly astringent pilsener. Very fresh as it isn’t skunky. The palate is very easy to drink. Medium light bodied and very smooth. I would possibly drink this again. Nate (2554), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Medium yellow clear with white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts with a little sweetness, light acidity, and no bitter. Finish has a little bitter with hops taste and some corny/grainy sweetness. Light sweet after with little bitterness. Standard lager taste, nothing special. Bockyhorsey (2551), Mesa, Arizona, USA
