Yellow with white head. Aroma and flavor of malt and hops with a fine bitter finish. Well-balanced. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Lots of carbonation in this one but it provides a refreshing alternative to cask ales. Has light hops and goes down well. StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 1, 2005 Translucent yellow / gold in color with a creamy white head that’s now backed off and left some nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is standing laundry water, cotton, Fabreeze and hair detangler. Sweet, sour and easy going on the palate. Somewhat of a flavorful pale lager. Strong sourdough impressions met with a signature lemony-citric edge. Doesn’t progress to the lager twang (characteristic of the style), but it doesn’t impress much either. This is one of those beers which seems to be available in every UK pub - I know it isn't, but even so that is not a good impression to be under. A very bog-standard draught beer - quite plain, but apparently richly malty, and almost entirely drinkable. Very acceptable session fare, without ever being outstanding. altonbrownd (1912), Amsterdam, Netherlands
