Draught. A yellow gold coloured lager with an aroma of grass and glass. The taste is mostly gassy with a dull malt flavour. There are definitely worse lagers out there. I could be forced to drink this again.

Pale yellow with a small white head. Strong DMS and a touch of malt aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter with more DMS than hop flavour.

Gold color with aroma of some malt, hops, big thiols, some funky esters. Tastes and finishes with a mixed bag of craptacular elements. Utterly forgettable, either in 1664 or the present.

Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, cereal), trace hops (herbs), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, husky, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Blech.

Bottled. Light yellow, clear, creamy whipped meringue head. Skunky aroma, no surprise. Thanks green glass and dusty long shelftime! Sweetish, very placid body, clean and largely free from such impediments as hops, malt, and flavor, until an unsettling thin metallic bitterness sets in near the end. More proof that French beers not labelled biere de garde need not be purchased from US store shelves.

Aroma seems a bit biscuity. Not smelling the maize. Orange tinged gold color with a white head that flattened. Medium bodied; creamy carbonation. The flavor is kind of caramel and bread, with some very light hop. The finish is not really dry, has some vegy/grainy taste, and is not that bad, as the hop bitter comes forth to sort that out.
