| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 28, 2006 draft - Pours yellow with a lightly hoppy aroma. The overall taste is quite mild with light malt and hops flavors that are balanced fairly well but weak. The body is on the thin side and the finish is crisp. I’ve had worse. Appearance: Pours a clear, goldish body with a small, white head. Splotchy lacing.
Smell: Light pale maltiness with a bit of doughiness to it. Mild, musty skunk notes.
Taste: Light pale malts with a mild, restrained sweetness and a hint of dough and grits. Faint, brief traces of lemon and apple fruitiness. Floral hops with a light bitterness. Dry finish with a hint of the alcohol within.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: While 1664 isn’t quite 1337, it’s better than a sizable portion of the endless parade of Euro lagers available. sukman69 (14), Canada

I was at this bar, getting kinda sloppy, when I saw her from across the room. She was playing darts with some girlfriends and not doing so well at it. She had great legs and nice small breasts, which I do enjoy. She smiled at me but I quickly looked away, as I am not used to pretty girls taking notice of me. I shyly looked back at her to see if she was still looking. Her eyes dashed to the ceiling, as if to avoid giving her intentions away. Man, this was exciting. After years of wallowing in my own pity and depression I finally got something to be interested in. After a large swig of Kronenbourg I let my eyes search the bar for her again. This time our eyes locked on to each others in a powerful gaze that seemed like it lasted a month. So locked in a trance we were. I rested my jaw on my hand to give her a sign like I was bored and she should come over to my table. Just then, my jerk friend came by and knocked my elbow off the table causing my head to rocket downward, coming to rest with the top of the Kronenbourg right in my damn eye! I had to leave in a hurry after that, and I never saw her again, but the shiner reminds me of the true romance that only a French beer can produce. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA

The straw like aroma. Not much flavor to speak of mostly corn. A slight bitter finish. Not much of a beer. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2006 Kroenbourg 1664 pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden color, with a bubbly white head that fades, and a very lively carbonation. The nose on this beer is slightly herbal and grassy with some crisp, slightly sweet pale malt flavors coming through. The palate is firm, with some nice touches of pale malt flavors on the tongue. The body is round and clean on this beer making it very drinkable. Kroenbourg 1664 finishes slightly sweet malty up front, then ends a touch grassy with a sting of carbonation. This beer comes in at about 5.2% abv, so it is the type of beer you could have a few of with your meal.
