Pours a beautiful pale gold with a head that seems to last. Nice hoppy flavor offset by a dull malt that hints at sweetness. Loved it. bushwik (11), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 This is actually a pretty good beer, far better than most American macros. I’ve had a tap in Strasbourg and Paris. I’m not sure why its getting a bad rap here. Once again its hard to really take what people on ratebeer.com say because all palates are different, but I’d say most raters here are really novice beer drinkers trying to pose as experts because this is not a bad beer. Try the 1664 White too... jaid6 (26), Ohio, USA

Agreed, it’s nothing fantastic or groundbreaking, but it’s still enjoyably crisp. i perfer this to stella Kiapepito (111), Port Angeles, Washington, USA

Strong pleasant honey/malt/skunk smell. Taste-slight skunk, honey, some cereal/husk that goes well together. Strong pils malt taste. Thick full mouthfeel for such a thin beer. I don;t know if it is because I am dying for a beer to slake my thirdt in this God forsaken humidity or if this is actually a good beer, but I like this. Goes well with the local climate.
