Bright amber-brown. Toasty, slightly appley aroma with a hint of cracker. There’s a brown sugar, cereally sweetness to this, with a vaguely metallic finish.

Draft. Amber and clear with lots of rising bubbles. Big foamy lasting white head. Nice fresh apple plus apple skin aroma. Sweet, and has some stickiness. The flavors are too sweet and simple, and tastes like the bruises on an apple.

Sampled Nov 2003, Rothenburg. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, roasted grain, caramel, nuts), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation.

Not very malty. I would expect that given the appearance. NIce long lsting head.
