Bright straw colour with a thick head. Ligthly apple with a hint of straw and herbal hop. Light bitterness. A little bit creamy with a faintly herbal character and light straw backdrop.

Draft. Pale, clear, straw gold. Nice head. Very mild, almost bland aroma. Light body. Sweet grain throughout is clean. In spite of a decent hop character, it is far too sweet for my taste.

Bottle. Mild hoppy aroma. Clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour has a little hop note. Medium bitterness, quite pleasant. A good, clean Pils.

Bottled (the bottle has a Werner cap, but according to the lady in Krug-Bräu Ebelsbach brewing has resumed in Ebelsbach). Bright pale golden, airy head. Medium dry with rounded slim mouthfeel. Light body covered in resiny grassy hops. Long bitterness. Simple, but correct.

Brewed by Werner in Poppenhausen. Bottle. Indifferent aroma. Hopbitter, slightly malty, herbal and grassy flavor. Medium bodied. Short bitter aftertaste.

Sampled Nov 2003, Rothenburg. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

A standard German pils. Very cheap and rare. The brewery is very small
