Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

Tap at Řrsted Řlbar, Copenhagen. Deep brown reddish color, off-white to beige head. There´s not much aroma, but hints of roasted malt and dark fruit. The flavor is roasted malt, caramel sweetness and dried fruit.

From Bottleworks in Seattle, WA--Poured a dark black-brown body with amber hues shining in the light. Small soft tan head. Bold nose of coffee, nutty chalkiness, and chocolate. Crisp, clean mildly roasty malty, nutty. Delicious. Carbonic mouthfeel. Sugary yet mild finish.

A very dark caramel brown frosted with a respectable brown head. Light oaty texture with barley notes over a bit of an earthy base and a slight bit of dryness in the finish.

Creme denso e pouco persistente, mas deixa uma camada fina perene no copo. No aroma e no sabor, muito malte torrado e notas de caramelo. O final é longo e doce. Boa cerveja.

From the taller, nicely packaged bottle with a code of: 02 04 2008 L0204C0630. Pours dark brown and ruby red. Malts and caramel in the aroma. Medium mouth feel. A very strange but also appealing malted flavor. I can’t pin it down. This one also lists "artifical sweetener" in the ingredients, which was a bit unsettling. But it was smooth enough anyhow and abover average.
