Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

Decent little taste with a hidden little coffee taste. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this when so many other nice schwarzbiers are available. Sampled at the 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce.

Sampled at Lundeen’s Brew Ha-Ha 2009. A dark brown-ruby pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma has a sweet caramel note, light toastedness and some mild roasted malt notes. Flavor is mostly caramel, toasted MO malt, light roasted malt, light grassy hop with an overall sweet profile. Palate is very thin but almost no carbonation. Overall the brew was kinda light but a decent brew.

Dark brown/black pour with a thin white head. Malt, toasted grain aroma. Flavor is grainy and bittersweet. Not bad, but not exceptional.

Bottle. Pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Very malty with chocolate and roasted malt character and a lighter caramel fruit body. Very thin and watery deters me from enjoying this more.

Bottle Jonpol says you should try. Wow over sweet aroma and flavor. Some grains to it a harly palatable but I drank it so have to score at that. Raw beer is a mix between a malt liquer and a brandy. UCK.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish brown with a 3 finger dense tan head that leaves nice lacing. The nose is vegetal – with a tomato juice-like aroma, caramel malt and spice. The taste is spice, malt and light ashy cocoa. Medium bodied. Not very good.

Big bottle into a snifter. Dark in flavor, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, though very refreshing for a Schwarz.
