NO aftertaste with a slight exception of a toased malt. Much more body that a usual fake example of a Schwatrzbier. Very nice drinkable brew even from a can after sitting in a suitcase for 20 hours. rlgk (3378), Vĺrgĺrda, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2006 Dark amber, beautiful large and lasting brown head. Roasted aroma mixed with vegetables. Roasted and burnt chocolate flavor, some hops and with a quite distinct bitterness in the finish. A great beer to be a 3,5 at the swedish market! Earlier Rating: 3/7/2004 Total Score: 3 Dark amber color, ok but quite quickly disappearing head. Aroma is hoppy and metallic, and gets close to being unpleasant since it is rather strong. Flavor is better from malts and dark chocolate. This was the 3,5 version, and I think it was better than most other beers with that ABV. Doggythedog (1590), Split, Croatia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2006 0.5l can. Had this warmer than normal, so I might rerate it. Very dark brown/red colour, very big fluffy tan head. Malty and caramelly aroma, with hints of black bread. Caramelish malt owns the taste, with hints of raisins, which turns out to be nice, with some nice interplay with a roasty/ashyburnt end. Very light hopiness. Unfortunately, the slight wateriness, some acidity and an obvious metallic taste, ruin what might be quite a nice beer. Could be worse, but it’s still a bit of a letdown. beerlady (457), lucerne, Switzerland

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours amber, but black in the glass. Somewhat creamy off-white head. Aroma is chocolate but tart, with a good amount of roastiness. Flavor is mostly malt, a little roasty and slightly sweet, finishing with a bit of mild bitterness. The flavor is much weaker than the aroma and doesn’t really hold up that well, although it gets a little more pronounced at warmer temperatures, and a hint of cherries and chocolate begins to appear. Mouthfeel is light and a bit velvety. Overall an interesting beer, but a better appearance and aroma than flavor. Best drunk somewhat warm. hayduke (1659), Eureka, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 1, 2006 Had this at the Pivnoi Bar in St. Petersburg. Poured black with ruby highlites and a semi-creamy off-white head. Aroma is light chocolate and acid, like chocolate-covered cherries. Flavor is light chocolate, cherries, grapes. Velvety body. A very "soft" beer in all respects.
