| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 3, 2006 (bottle) Dark brown, almost black coloured with a foamy brown medium head. Quite shy sweet roasted malts aroma with traces of caramel, coffee and a faint hoppy touch. Initially sweet malty taste, light bodied, rather watery sweetbitter finish with a sourish touch and notes of chocolate and coffee. Not a very impressing Schwarzbier. maeib (4752), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

The aroma is bready and malty with caramel hints. The taste again is bready and sweet; raisin notes also. A little short in body but quite drinkable. pfr (121), Křbenhavn, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Poured a very dark brown/black with hints of ruby around the edges. Had a nice off white two finger head that slowly faded with decent amounts of lacing.
Smells were a little coffe and chocolate, with roasted malt.
Taste was mild coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. It has an almost smokey finish to it. Mouthfeel was a little thin at first, but was a little better after warming up some. This one is very easy to drink, especially with the low ABV. Wish I had a few more of these.

Alround this is just such a good find, you could session it all nite due to the % too, outstanding.
