Deep Brown, initial beige head quickly dissipating, gentle condition. Sweet in the nose with a strange aroma of beef stock and coffee, quite soft in the mouth with more sweetness that has a slightly roasted edge and a touch of iron, finish is gently roasted with some earthiness and a low sweet toffee note mcdav2154 (297), Germany

Really black look with a tan head. Lacing was above average. Tasted smokey, coffee, bitter caramel, some brown sugar?? and a aftertaste I can’t place but is different and pleasurable. montythemole (5), England does not count | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 24, 2009 500ml Bottle. Poured with a large tan head of fine bubbles and good lacing. Color is dark brown with copper highlights. Aroma is dark malt, roasty, tea, nuts, and a little of paper. Body is strange because it has fine carbonation and a soft feel but at the same time a bit thin. Flavor’s like the aroma. Finish is ok. Not bad. gorditoabd (174), San Diego, California, USA

Bottle, pours like black coffee, with a good bit of tan, short-lived head. Aroma is sickly sweet caramel and some note of hops and malt. Nothing to write home about. Initial taste is a bit of a watery mess... after about 2 seconds anise and some bittersweet brown sugar taste kicks in. Otherwise, nothing special. But then, with the minimal ABV I didn’t expect much. Do people in the Czech Republic hate to get a buzz? I’ll probably never be able to answer this question. Would I try this beer again? I have that answer... no, unless it became the last option...
