| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Mahogany with a thin tan topper. Aroma of smoked something, perhaps liquid smoke, malt and licorice. Taste of smoked meat, mild caramel, black licorice and mild chocolate. Not too bad, but kind of thin, but then I guess when the alcohol clocks in at 3.8%, you really can’t expect a whole lot in terms of body and taste. TheSponge (281), Lynnwood, Washington, USA

Pours a dark brown with a dark cream-colored head. Flavor: Sweet & malty, and it kind of reminds me of Guinness. (It sounds a little crazy, oh well.) begbie100 (166), Oulu, Finland

Doesn’t look all that good, as it is a dark, murky brown in colour, although it does have a firm and tightly-packed head. It isn’t strongly carbonated. There is a slight hint of bitterness, but it is dominated by a smooth malt flavour and texture. Quite a pleasant beer.
