| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2008 Overall, pretty unimpressive. Served in a lager glass at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary, AB. Aroma of citrus, grass and malts. An appearance of bright golden body and large wqhite head. Taste is unique, slightly bitter and uninviting. Overall, roasted malts and slight nut flavour are prevalent. A okay beer. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a double-walled pint glass. Pour produced a clear, golden body topped by a quickly diminishing white head of foam. Sharp nose with some citrus notes and malts. Crisp mouthfeel and initially bitter, the sting of effervescence numbs the tongue, overpowering the palate. This pilsner has a dry, roasted finish, with a roasted (almost burnt) aftertaste. Not bad, though I’m not a fan of the aftertaste, which lingers longer than necessary.
