Dark golden and virtually still with a thin but non-budging head of white foam. Sugary malty aroma -- I expected a bready brew, but this isn’t taht meaty. Instead this is only moderately bodied with a somewhat sweet character and slightly yeasty even. Only mildly bittered. Just OK. (#3207, 7/16/2007) mjg74 (2001), La Mesa, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Bottle from BevMo. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color. Aroma is grainy. Some corn and sweetness. Quite bready flavor. A little bit of hoppiness in the finish. Decent. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 28, 2007 500 ml bottle. Pale golden beer with a thick white head. Swet pale malt aroma, grassy and light herbal, a bit of breadiness as well. A touch of honey character in the malt. Very low bitterness but there is a reasonably pronounced hop flavour. Pale malt finish, but not as much character as the burgerbraur. Minerally, but still not terribly interesting. Warming brings out an unpleasant soapiness. HopheadHans (755), Bay Area, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Tap. Pours with a golden color. Aromas of grain and breads with a certain mustiness. Flavors are very earthy, with hoppy backbone and more grains. Pretty solid body and a bit of alcholo shines through. Seems stronger than advertised. xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA

1/2 liter bottle
Moderate pour in a weizen glass.
Born on 12/06, absorbed 06/07.
Poured a clear gold with an average mostly diminishing white fizzy head.
Smelt of moderate light grain, cooked corn and light grassy hops.
Flavor was upfront moderate bitter grassy hops and sweet light bread followed by a strong bitter sharp grassy hops and sweet cooked corn and bread on a moderate finish.
Palate was light bodied, slightly oily, lightly astringent and lively carbonated.
Overall, it’s a classic bohemian pilsner. A little bit sharper than the average. Definitely a good example of a czech pilsner. Whelk (124), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 20, 2007 500ml bottle. Pours a bright gold with a thick white head that faded very fast. Very mild aroma--corny, malty. Flavor is crisp, smooth, a touch sweet, some oily hoppiness. Drinkable, but I’d rather put my money somewhere else. patrick767 (2058), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 19, 2007 500ml bottle - Pours clear gold with a two finger, rapidly fading head. The aroma is corn and malts and is mild. It has a malt and bread taste with mild hops presence. It was fairly smooth and refreshing, but also quite thin and not all that great.
