noncaloric (200), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 29, 2008 On tap. Grassy aroma, clear pale golden pour, thin white head isn’t retained well, but still manages to leave a decent lacing. Grassy hops at the front of the taste, fading into a long, doughy malt backbone. Thin to medium bodied. andreic (22), Australia Oct 30, 2008 pale yellow-gold. big white head. clean malt aroma. tastes malty sweet up front and ends with a bitter, slightly tinny taste. medium body. an ok lager but nothing great. WISEGUY572 (1158), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 19, 2008 An ok lager, though less impressive than I expected from an authentic Czech brewer. Only thing in common with the real thing from 30 years ago is a long bitter finish. Of course! It’s now a Heineken and it’s been dumbed down into a world beer. BeerBlockaid (476), West Palm Biatch, Florida, USA Oct 9, 2008 Golden /amber pour, like tree sap containing the next DNA sample for a lackluster, headboring Jurassic Park. Frothy, and heavenly fluffed head Nose is of grains, candies, and malts. Taste is pretty metalic and bitter...Not the defined bitter we are all spoiled by with such great items as the Two Hearted Ale. This is more offputting at first. Like stale bread. But after a while, it get’s better. Reminds me of tour-euro beer, which has a sort of, "...is only good when im pubbed to death," charm. Either way, is ok. I could stomach a few of these in good company, but here on the computer typing up this on ratebeer.com, is kinda lonely. :P rederic (1513), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 2, 2008 500ml bottle, golden color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, sweet grainy pale malt nose, with some crunchy crystal malt, like a bowl of multi-grain cereals, with a hint of vanilla in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp honeyed pale malt character, with a bubblegum fruity note, and a nice flowery hop saaz citrusy, with a leafy accent, leading towards a mild hop bitternes finish.
