Going to do the Jekyll Hyde thing here. What the bloody hell happens to these Czech beers once they hit our shores??? Tasted in the CR on draught this was one of the most stunning beers I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. Get a bottle of it here in Australia and the ravages of time, shipping and who knows what else has emasculated it somewhat. In the CR it has a beautiful fresh malt background, stunning straw/gold colour and redoubtable citric, lemony hop aroma that makes you want just inhale in the glass all day. Hey Czechs send us Aussies the "actual" beers you drink yourselves ;-) My score was derived purely through nostalgia and my tasting notes from the Czech Republic and not the poor imitator I just drank here in Melbourne.

WOW. I am really surprised at my impression of this beer when compared with the other ratings. I may be rating the wrong beer, all I had written down was Krusovice, so if someine more knowledgable of the brand thinks that I got it wrong, then let me know. Strong yellow color. Fluffy head. Nice, grassy aroma. Very strong malt and hop character. Most assertive Czech lager yet on my trip.

Straight from best source . Krusovice pub in Prague . Great waeather , ideal for fresh pils . That day this pils was Krusovice 12-stka . Light gold , with bright white head . Similar a bit to polish lighter lagers . Malty , not much alcohol in aroma . Malty, extremly refreshing, simple but very well made. Superb drink ability

Clear yellow amber, thick malted barley aroma with a good bit of sugar that mixes well with the light hops. Chewy, sugary cotton candy flavour with sweet malts and a very mild hop finish, impressed me with the subtle malts that compliment the fresh hops.

Draft, Bottle and Can. Forget the can unless you are stuck on a train. Draft and bottle groovy tho. Talk about one beer leading into another. Yikes. Easy drinking. Not much on the nose but the finish hops are what stand out for me. Medium maltiness yields a shortlived sweet that rolls into the hoppy finish.

Draught in Prague. Golden colour with a thick dissipating white head. Rich malty aroma with a strong floral/flowery aroma. Flavour also shows a soft floral character, good maltiness and a fairly rich mouthfeel before a velvety bitterness washes over your palate. Flavour also has a lovely flowery character.

Clear deep golden with medium white creamy head. Sweet aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Sweet and hoppy flavor with caramel and floral notes leading it to a bitter end.

[on tap in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic] Bright dark straw with a rocky, white merangue top that made nice lacing. Gentle noble hops aroma with a little malt and mabye some fruit--pretty faint. Mostly noble hops in the flavour and a little uriny. Low malt flavour and sweetness. Since there was so little flavour and sweetness, a small amount of hops bitterness came out. Considerable carbonation, light body, almost clean finish but some residual bitterness. Mediocre beer.
