Pours a deep very clear gold with a huge snowy head that leaves delicate lacing as it slowly recedes.....pretty faint but not unpleasant, reasonably fresh grassy nose with a hint of vanilla and lemon....sweet, with light honey tones and some earthy mineralic qualities, very light dry hops towards the finish, and a somewhat unpleasant acrid quality.....bit of artificial bubblegummy quality as well....rather low carbonation, a bit sticky; not bad but far from top-class. gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

Nothing really stands out from the aroma. Slightly malty taste, quite average pilsner I’d say. Bitter hoppy aftertaste. Good, but nothing extraordinary. Typical czech pilsner. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2005 Deep golden body. Malty and slightly alcoholic (in a 4,5% beer?) nose. Looks and tastes "darker" than the average pilsner, with hazelnuts and a thick malt texture. Aftertaste is slightly bitter but not too dry and hoppy. You can detect some metallic notes but otherwise I’d say this makes a nice premium lager like the label says.
