On tap at Plachetnice (I think) in Pilsen, thanks Dario!
Lovely murky orange-apricot body with a white head leaving nice lacing. A nice lightly fruity malty and honeyish aroma The taste however wasn’t as exciting. Sweetish dull yeastiness, bit grainy, weak hop near the end. Really doesn’t deserve to be near 3 but the appearance and the aroma push it there.

Tap at the krusovice place in Plzen.... Clowdy orange ... light fruity almost wheaty nose ... juicy plain and simple

On tap in PRague. Hazy, dark gold. Very soft. Flowers, peaches, rather complex flavour as you sip. But it is not quite up among the best.

Tap at the krusovice place in Plzen. Alround rating: Pale malts grassy hope, the yeast detracts from what would have been a good clean lager.

Draught at Plachetnice, Pilsen. Cloudy golden with medium white head. Bready malt aroma, a bit bland, with some fresh floral hops. Moderate bitterness. Quite mediocre.

Draught at Plachetnice, Pilsen. Cloudy golden, small creamy head. Appley nose. Medium sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Unexciting with it’s very light grassy hop character and dead malt character. Finished with medium bitterness and a sense of disappointment.

From the bottle on picture. Had this one two days old straight from the brewery, brought by my friend (Krušovice importer for Croatia).
In meanwhile I’ve manage to lost my notes somewhere, so ’till next time...

Back from a Czech Republic pub-crawl this is part of my express ratings for the “typical” Světlý 11°- (Czech light Pils), Světlý 12°+ (Czech Pils), Polotmavý (Czech Amber Lagers) and Tmavý (Czech Black Lagers). Non-typical beers will receive personalized descriptions after the express ratings.
-------- /> How: Tap at Plachetnice, Pilsen, Czech Republic)
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body with a short-lived white head
To me a typical Czech Světlý 11° and below is: Well malted body with lots of smooth cereals and a light fresh honey sweetness flavour. Some fruity notes (more fruity notes than in the 12°+) with mostly citrus fruits and a little lemon. The finish is somewhat herbal and citrusy with but unlike the 12°+ there is only a hint of the dry grassy bitterness usually associated with noble/Saaz hops. Bitterness is mild and does not really play a big role in the overall flavours spectrum. A light meringue sensation and an overall freshness impression.. Carbonation is typically very soft. These beers are low in intensity but very refreshing and drinkable in scarily large quantities.
This one: As above but blander malt profile, almost no hops presence whatsoever, more fruity yeast notes (watermelon and lemon). Extremely bland but way too refreshing and highly drinkable to give it a bad score.
