MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 31, 2008 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Fresh and moderately sweet malty aroma with a tinge of citrus and shy hoppy spice. Sweet and light-bitter flavour Pale malty, slightly sour doughy malty taste; medium-dry sweet malty finish with a tinge of sourness. Not bad but also quite one dimensional (29.07.08). MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Jul 20, 2008 Bottle, 5.2%. Clear golden colour. Small white head. The flavour has a slight maltiness, perhaps a little paper. Ends on a citric note. Quite clean, but a rather plain lager. georgekessel (68), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 7, 2007 Not a true Helles Weissbier which is what I had hoped for, but rather a golden hoppy (very hoppy) crisp flavor. I did not detect fruit but there was a distinct flowerly herbal flavor. Low Head - beware of fast pours as that flattens the bier. Geiserich (1541), Vienna, Austria Jun 12, 2006 Hoppy, light herbal aroma. Golden color, lively carbonation and a low head. Light malty with spicy hop notes. Light to medium bodied. Dry, bitter finish. Quite hop intensive helles. joss (3144), Garching b. München, Germany May 24, 2003 Nice Hallertauer nose undelined by malt. Golden, low carbonation, low head.
Very nice balance: Fills the whole spectrum from full maltiness to mouth-watering hop flavors (grass, flowers, citrus). Very palpatable.
