12oz bottle acquired in trade with ClarkVV (thanks!). ’04 vintage. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized of white head. Aromas of green apples, earthy, nutty, citrus and I also go a very light sulphur aroma. Tastes of citrus, nuts, yeast and some caramel. Lacing left on the glass.

@ Michigan Beerfest-on tap-pours a shaving cream tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is herbal, medium malt. Taste is herbal, medium malt, wood/bark. Medium body. Mild carbonation. Interesting.

Poured a hazy brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, grassy hops, grains, nuts, and some yeast as well. Taste of more citrus fruits, light caramel malts, some nuts, and a dry, yeasty finish.

2004 bottle. Confirmed different than the Sticke Alt, which they sell side by side to this. Pours a delightful mix of browns, beiges, coppers and golds, bottle conditioned!!! with a good fleeting off-white head. Aroma of light nuttiness, chewy toffee, some earthy, soily hops, lightly dry yeast and hints of metal. Flavor is just bursting with malt, light earthy hops and yeast. The flavor hits you right away, washes over your palate and dosent leave. Who would ever have thought this little alt would prove such an incredibly flavorful, yet ever so drinkable beer?? Not me. But it is, wonderfully balanced and smooth. Medium to medium full body, but light enough on the palate to be able to drink a number of these. I was so impressed, my friend and I both actually, that we bought a case. Incredible beer, the bottle conditioning adds flavor and life to this one.

GTMW 08 - This was a wonderful alt. Pours bronze with a tan head. The aroma had such a fullness to it with malty caramel, toffee and a ton of richness without being cloying. Medium / full body with smoothness and extra gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with dark malt, banana, dark brown sugar and lots of smoothness. The finish linger around with earthy spicy dryness and caramel. I wish I could get more on this one.

Just had this at the GTMW this weekend and i guess they’re bringing it back. Pour is a dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma was of dark malts and seom candi sugar. Flavor has some caramel and nuts with a bit of wood smoke. A good attempt at this style.

Tap: which by the looks of it didn’t work out as well as the bottle. Dark mahogany color with whispy film for a head. Every category was lacking. Almost astringent/metallic tatse to it.

Thanks to hopdog for this... Appears a light, hazy amber with a small white head and little bits of scattered lacing around the glass. Smell is of light sour apples and hops with light amounts of caramel malt coming through. Taste is of the same aromas Mouthfeel is slightly sour with some nutty malt trying to balance it out. Not a typical alt, IMO but not a bad beer.
