Sampled at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3 gathering. Bottle courtesy of cbkschubert. Dark orange pour with a foamy head. Aroma of citrus hops and malt. Flavor is earthy hops, fruit and some smokiness. Good stuff. Thanks Craig!

[Bottle, thanks ryan!] Pours really hazy yellowish-brown with a small white head. The aroma is beautiful--huge and hoppy with a lot of citrus. The taste is disappointing, with a good deal of bitterness, but a really unusual, unpleasant taste pervading it. Decent mouthfeel with a below average finish. Hopefully I can get another shot at this one, as I was at a tasting when I had it. Regardless of the clarity of my notes though, the memory of the taste lingers with me and makes me hesitant to go out of my way to make this second sampling possible.

Dec. 2008 bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing! Pours a hazy amber with a bubbly white head. Big hoppy aroma, sweet and bitter, with citrus, malt, and pine. Taste is bitter and heavy, of sharp citrus, grass, and wood. Lingering overly sharp flavors. Great nose, but the taste is a letdown.

Growler sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser 3.0 courtesy of cbkshubert...THANKS CRAIG!!! Dark copper pour with hints of orange and pink grapefruit toward the thicker parts of the glass. Small eggshell head with minimal lacing. Fairly faint aroma (although this was sampled after "The Younger") with a lot of smoke and malt for an IPA. Freshly chopped Ponderosa, newly ignited campfire, and dark caramel malt combine with traditional IPA flavors. Medium mouthfeel...with a wispy swirl of bubbles staying around until the last sip.

Sampled at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3.0 tasting. Sorry this one’s aroma was like a pale ale (no offence) after the younger. Good citrus aroma. Amber body with off white head. Good sweet citrus flavor. Good IPA. thanks Criag.

Growler shared by cbkschubert at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3.0 tasting. Pours a clear dark amber with a light tan head and light lacing. The nose is light citrus and caramel. The taste is earthy hops, caramel and smoky malts with dried apricots in the finish. Medium body. Good stuff – it didn’t help that we had the hop bomb Younger right before this, as this was a pretty good beer in its own right. Thanks Craig!

December 2008, 12oz from derek, hoppymeal is the man with a plan. Shared with dalekliz. I thought this is hoppy, so don’t sit on it Jon, drink the damn beer. Pours rich orange with a tan head. Nose very hoppy, don’t even have to get my nose close, lots of huge citrus notes, smacking me in the nose. Taste is overly bitter and too astringent. I don’t know the nose truly does not match the taste which is disturbing. also I’m kinda wondering whats extreme about this beer that doesn’t have the high alc of other Kuhnhenn beers.

Big thanks to ogglethorp for the bottle! Pours a rich orange color with a big fluffy beige head. Smell is big and fruity floral hops. Nice nose. Taste is odd. Bitter, twangy, metallic sour hoppy flavor. Leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Promising look and smell, but the taste was quite strange to me. Medium body and soft carbonation.
