Not as sensuous as Bells Hopslam or Three Floyds Dreadnaught, but it is full-throttle and intense. A bloom of citrus--comes off like a pomelo kind of bitter/tart character, rather than grapefruit. A fine expression of double IPA, but could use a bit of extra maltiness to elongate the aroma and finish. Fine beer.

from my favorite brewery, from the tap. poured a nice light brown to reddish color, with a off white head, aroma, nice hoppy, citrus, malty, got some nice sweetness as it warmed. flavor, wow those hops just come out and grap your taste buds, than you get the malts and caramel, this beer went down nice and easy.

On tap @ the brewpub: Pours a clear copper wtih a white head. Aroma, citrus and floral notes, some fruits as well. Flavor, citrus, spices, spicy hops, and some caramel malt on the finish. Not a lot of bitterness but great aroma and flavor from the hops. Was a great change of pace inbetween all the other monster beers that were pouring.

Served at the MBG summer fest 08’. Great big tropical aroma, citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor was sticky sweet, tangerines, ripe mangos, not a ton of bitterness, just a lot of tasty fruity goodness. I really enjoyed this one.

Thanks to sliffy for sharing a bottle. The beer is a lightly hazed dark orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Has a strong fruity hops aroma with caramel malt undertones. Medium body with a floral hoppy character that has a strong malt foundation. Citrus is pronounced throughout as well. The finish is rich and hoppy with a lingering citrusy bitterness. Overall this beer reminded me of something between a Barley Wine and DFH 120 Minute. Very good overall.

Dec 08 bottle shared by ryan on 1/10/09: Pours a transparent copper amber with a well-lacing frothy light tan head. Aroma of big fresh resiny grapefruity hops and a nice pale malty sweetness. Starts with a juicy piny citrus hop jolt and good sweet malty balance before a crisp bittersweet finish. A nice double IPA.

Lightly hazed amber dense off-white head with nice lacing. The aroma is strong piney hops light citrus and floral. Nicely balanced, citrus hops and caramel sweetness. Bitter but pleasing. Medium crisp finish.
