The aroma and flavor are a medley of blackstrap molasses, dried plums, dark chocolate, espresso beans and black cherries. The heavy, burnt bitterness almost pounds the malt sweetness into submission. Boozy, but not necessarily hot. Full-bodied with a thick, velvety mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Lengthy, bittersweet finish. World class stout! ogglethorp (890), Ohio, USA

Aromas of big roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, and a touch of coffee. Flavor is quite rich with dark chocolate and dark fruits. Some good roasted notes too. Finish is lingering chocolate. Good oily palate that is thick yes so smooth and creamy in the mouth. Low carbonation. This is a very nice stout... spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

Sweet, caramelized malts with raisin, molasses, hints of plum, and coffee. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Rich, complex aroma and flavor. One of the better beers at the fest. I did not pick up the high ABV, but I think I felt it.
