alexsdad06 (1054), Ohio, USA Jan 28, 2008 Draught @ the brew pub. Pours a clear dark honey color with a small white head that diminishes to a ring. The aroma has some citrusy hops, mild caramel malts, a touch of spice, and some bread. The flavor has mild caramel malts, mild citrusy hops, some honey sweetness, and some bitterness inserts itself toward the end. It was a change of pace between some of the bigger beers that night. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Dec 13, 2007 On tap at the pub. Pours thinly to a burnt orange body. Cool hoppy aroma, light and laid back, suggesting wet grass and unripe citrus; hints of sweet caramel and meaty spices. Dry and leafy flavor with plenty of cascade bitterness and slick crystal sweetness; slightly resinous and showing just enough toffee tinted malt to balance it. Medium bodied and quite smooth in the mouth, giving a bit of oily, nutty sweetness at the finish. Certainly not especially memorable, but quite pleasant. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Aneliese Ale

Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA Aug 17, 2007 On tap at the brewery. I have numbers but few notes. This was a pretty solid amber ale, with cerealy, fruity malts dominating the palate. Caramely. Soft body. ryan (1774), Beltsville, Maryland, USA May 30, 2007 Clear amber with a small, white head, lasting. The aroma is herbal, floral(lavender) with lightly sweet malts. The flavor is floral, bread, fairly dry. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation. xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA Apr 11, 2007 Kuhnhenn Anneliese Amber
64 oz growler
Moderate pour in an English pint
Unknown brewing (recent?), enjoyed 2 days after the growler pour, 04/07
Poured a clear reddish amber with an average somewhat diminishing off white head.
Smelt of moderate caramel, citrus, light dough.
Taste was upfront moderate caramel and citrus hops followed by a moderate to strong bitter toasted malt and garden greens hops on an average finish.
Palate was light to medium bodied, fizzy, slightly oily and lightly astringent.
Overall, a very satisfying amber with a good emphasis on taste, but nothing makes it stand out. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Mar 8, 2007 On tap @ The Brew Kettle: Copper pour lasting white head. Subtle amounts of crystal and caramel malts which should’ve been more. IBU’s are low but the hops seem to take over and leave a citrus dryness. Really too thin and nothing really going on here I slammed this fast just so I could get something else, not bad but boring and could’ve been more exciting.. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Jan 1, 2007 On draft at brewery. Nice copper color with thin off white head. The aroma is tart grapefruit and a hint of sweet malt. Nice hop bite of what seems like grapefruit hop type flavor and bitterness. The malts take a back seat behind the tall hop flavor profile. Nice tasty beer for the hop head or aspiring hop head.
