The power of yeast: fruity indeed. Amber..no head. Butterscotch nose. Fall off the vine fruit and dried apricot. Strangly a tad cloying while also being dry. Finish and mouthfeel was crisp.

Pours a clear crimson amber color, with lots of ruby tones when held up to the light. Thin ring of foam but solid, sturdy, webby lacing. Aroma more like a fruit wine than a beer - tart and alcoholic. Interesting mix of flavors - rich and malty with flavors of honeymalt and candi sugar. Tart and fruity with flavors of apple and cherry. I used to drink a combination of Red Zinger tea and apple juice, and the fruity aroma and flavors in this beer remind me of that. Delicious! A little bit of tannin in the finish, pleasantly tart aftertaste. Very smooth beer, medium carbonation. Way too easy to drink, and I don’t believe for a minute that it was only 5.5% abv. A couple glasses smacked me.

Tap: Glowing ruby hue with a big creamy off-white head and outstanding lace which clings to the glassware. The aroma has notes of currant, cherry, anise, clover, heather, earthy and fruity yeast esters and a hint of oxidation (a good thing). Semi-sweet taste with ripened fruit and spice overtones. A bit bready and caramel is the background. Some woody notes on the finish and noticeable phenolic character. The feel is lush and sticky with moderate warming. Rocking and I really dig it, would drink it again and again.

Tap. Deep brown with red highlights and very clear. Deep, dense tan head lasts until the last drop of liquid is gone. Aroma is fruity and sugary with lots of malt undertones. Medium bodied and smooth. A bit overmalted in flavor, lots of residual sugars remain. The yeast strain is interesting and does leave lots of fruit and ester in the flavor profile. Solid and different beer.

Tap: dark amber with white film for head. Aroma was ll sweet malt with hints of peach. Flavor has alot of caramel and residuel belgian candy sugar taste, with a light fruity background. Decent overall, can see how sweetness would get to people though.
