Aroma is medium sweet, strawberry. Taste is moderately sweet, strawberry, berry, light honey, faint seltezer. Alcohol noticeable, particularly in the finish, but not overpowering. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized head. Aromas of, well guess what, honey with some caramel. Tastes of honey, caramel, and some breadiness. Light alcohol in the finish. Aroma of sweet toffee and a touch of light fruits and a hint of tartness. Starts with some finely dissolved carbonation and light fruits and honey sweetness along with a touch of tartness and warmth toward the finish. Not much honey character, but has some pretty good balance. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2004 Thanks Matt for the chance to taste this: A cloudy honey orange hue with a creamy white head and good lace. The aroma has notes of floral and herb hops, doughy and chesse yeast esters, grain, peach, light honey and vanilla. Taste similar to a Strong Ale with a heavy bittersweet character and an acidic twang. Good yeast notes as well. The mouthfeel is oily, lively and very smooth on the finish. Not as I expected, not overpowering with sweetness or alcohol. This is really more like a beer than most meads, nicely quaffable. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 20, 2009 Poured a slightly hazed deep copper color with an off-white head. Toasty honey aroma. Pretty sweet. Honey flavor with a sweet medium body. This was a 12oz bottle as compared to what appears to be a 750ml in the bottle photo. I like sweet but not a fan of honey and this did nothing to help that. Sammy (4051), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2004 A sparkling mead with geuzelike sourness. My first braggot, it was crisp, carbonated (wohlfs who brought it to Doug Shoemaker explained the carbonation is from the malt) and different. Dry aftertaste. Refreshing and will have again. Surprising the alcohol was so high, ya don’t notice. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
