Draft sample at MBGF07. Pours hazy dark brown color with a large fizzy light brown head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet nutty malty aroma. Medium to full body. Heavy balanced roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of an long duration. This is a solid drinkable porter.

MiBFG 07: Deep brown hue with a fading tan head. The aroma has notes of walnut, caramel, mocha, coffee, some herbal hops and an earthy yeast ester. The taste is mostly nutty and chocolatey with some mild bitterness upon the finish. The mouth feel is smooth and sticky, slightly under carbonated. An okay porter with a cool name.

MI Summer Fest. Pours dark brown almost black with a smallish tan coloed head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, toffee, toasted coconut, perhaps some coffee. Flavor is much the same with a nice toasted cocnut wallop up front, then chocolate, caramel, coffee. Palate is medium bodied, medium to mildly carbonated, sweet and sticky finish. I really enjoyed this, perhaps one of my favorites from the fest. It caught me by surprise.
