| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Upon its release the beer sets in the glass a beclouded ruby red with a personable creamy light tan head that slowly evaporates leaving an admirable sheet of lace. Nose has a bit of muskiness with sweet malt, hints of caramel, delectable this nose, sweet at the start, grain profile perfect and the top middling in its feel. Finish has a determined acidity, the hops spicy and enjoyable, the after taste dry, with a nice bit of tummy warming, a total hit with me, and a must try. Aggie80 (709), Michigan, USA

A wide spread experience, from the heavy malt aroma to the smooth flavor of malt, spices and a touch of resin in the after taste. Really easy to sip and the warm glow spreads throughout the body. ryan (1780), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Bottle, from trade with Nejhleader, I think. Brewed 2/16/03. Great nose, sweet. Fruity, raspberry, raisin/date/fig, caramel. Got better as it warmed. Clean orangy dark brown color, small head faded to a ring, no lace. Sweet bitter flavor, like aroma with more caramel and some chocolate. Still very fruity though. Medium body, oily viscous mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. Very nice. Enjoyed the opening up as it warmed Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 24, 2006 12 oz bottle via trade with Pailhead. Pours a murky reddish brown with a tan head. Nose is rich caramel malt, brown sugar, floral hops. NIce, thick, slightly satin body. Flavor is big brown sugar, molasses. A light nuttiness is noted. Finish is blunted floral bitter, the nut flavors really develop after everything else leaves. Beautiful! Thanks Kevin! sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
