Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 10, 2005 A deep red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is malty with strong notes of chocolate and alcohol, combined with lesser roated notes - nice. The flavor is lovely alcoholic - burning the mouth, but also notes of oranges and wood with a thick mouthfeel - leaning towards a portwine. Lovely. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2008 Bottled, thanks jjpm74! Cloudy mahogany colour, creamy head. Thick and malty with massive amounts of caramel. Sweet and full sized, very soft and cottony. Mild, yet very flavourful - caramel and smoke is prominent. Soothing and warming. Great winter beer! Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of moejuck/Thomas_E. Pours a very unclear orangey brown with a tiny, off-white head. Fat aroma of overripe fruit. Very full-bodied, roasted malts, overripe fruits and a rather alcoholic finish. Low in carbonation - high in complexity. Very delicious indeed. 150807 Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2005 Dark golden-brown colour. Fairly chewy rich aroma with hints of toffee but nothing else particulary distinctive. The body is big but soft. Flavour is quite sweet with toffeeish malts and tropical fruits. There is a lot of alcohol to dry out the finish. Not a bad beer, but lacks complexity. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 21, 2007 Bottle.
