acrdz (4376), Boulder, Colorado, USA Feb 16, 2008 12oz bottle. Deep hazy black plum/purple colored body. Big sweet, sticky, resinous plums in the nose. Huge, decadent layer of woody red wine and port. Perfumy and rich. Thick up front, turning frothy and thinner over the middle, with a Belgian yeast and sour red grape flavor. Amazingly rich. Wine-like but properly woody and dry, which works very well as a beer.

Nice Abbey Dubbel with the syrah oak barrel twist. Some vanilla and wine like flavors. toncatcher (205), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 Updated: Sep 5, 2008I invited some friends over to share this one for my 200 rating. Pours reddish/brown and with a vigorous pour a got medium white head. Aroma of wine, oak, malt-sweet but not overpowering.
