Commercial Description:
Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well.

On draft at Hop Devil Grill for Daze of the Devil II. Pours a murky dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, sweetner, alcohol and earth notes. Full bodied with lively carbonation. Flavors of earth, chocolate, alcohol, and slight raspberry. I can’t believe this beer is in the top twenty!! Not even close to being a 4 in my eyes although several people did say that the older version was better. I wish I had that version instead.

2007 is one of the best. Great chocolate/rasberry flavor. A little pricey at $13 a bottle (6 oz) but the Brothers did another great job.

Pours a dark, murky red with no head. Aroma of raspberry, chocolate, caramel, and slight alcohol. Taste like it smells with a wonderful velvet mouth feel. A complex and beautiful beer.

Draft at the Hop Devil Grill. Brown pour with a reddish hint and some head. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate, sweet malt. The flavor is the same, real sweet, with some alcohol also. It had a smooth texture.

Poured a nice brownish red with a smallish head. Aroma was sticky sweet with a nice amount of fresh rasberry and sugar. Flavor was similar; a nice blend of the sugary sweetness and fruit flavor. Glad this one has been unretired and glad I had the chance to try it.

Shared in the line at the Red Poppy Release by Wetherel, thanks (2004 vintage). Pours a cloudy red amber with no carbonation or head. Aroma of a topping for a nice pancake breakfast, Sweet fruit, and chocolate. Taste much the same.

#500! Pours brown with reddish hues with no head. Chocolate and raspberries on the nose. Similar flavor with an alcoholic finish. Notable hints of caramel and toffee
