The aroma is very spicy and with strong notes of raspberries, but also with lesser notes of oranges and caramel. The flavor is pretty much like the aroma with a strong accentuation of the raspberries and the spices, that I can’t pick apart. Lovely. Fantastic and complex nose of chocolate, toffee and some sherry-like accents. Extremely full body with some distinct, warming alcohol. The raspberries add a pleasant - yet discreet - fruitiness throughout, but the chocolate clearly dominates. Somewhat sugary finish. Extremely complex and a very unique experience. Pours clear and golden dark orange to amber with a quickly gone tan head. Dark malty and mild raspberry aroma. Flavour is mild caramel malty with a delicate and dry raspberry flavour on top. Shows a dry and almost woody raspberry flavour before the finish. Dry almost woody finish. Sugarish finish with a light raspberry note. Complex brew yet I don’t see this a top 50 beer. omhper (12298), Stockholm, Sweden

Sweet and liqueur-like with some pleasant acidity coming from the raspberries. Full malty body with some warming alcohol. Lingering bitter cocoa in the finish. Very special. I absolutely love the idea, but I get creepy annotations of Floris Chocolat when drinking it. fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

Thick, silky, with all good things dark malt showing up – toffee and liquorice. Quite rich, like the best Belgian dark chocolate. This is cut by sweet & sour raspberry notes. This is very drinkable. I’d love to taste the eisbock straight-up sometime.
