Mr_Stitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 11, 2008 On tap at Kuhnhenn’s. Pours a nice orange color with a big fizzy white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is hops, grass, citrus, and candied sweetness. Taste is very even, upfront with sweetness and some fruits smoothly transitioning into some clean tart hoppiness. Overall a very nice beer that I would recommend to anyone that has a chance to try it.

Aroma is belgian, yeasty, oranges, and a lot of sweetness.
Taste is sweet-spicy, belgian orange and hoppy.
Finishes cloying, slightly bitter.
Nice, spicy, hoppy beer.
Enjoyable. riversideAK (1648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle from ucusty. Thanks dude! Aroma although a little subdued due to age is nice and hoppy with some grapefruit and orange citrus notes. Orange golden pour with a thin head. The hoppy citrus combines nicely with the belgian aspect of this one; the yeasty banana, clove, spice, and sweet candy sugar. Light hops in the form of citrus and sweet spicy yeasty esters are the flavor profile. Banana candy, a touch of caramel malt perhaps?, and some alcohol. Does not drink like 10.5% at all, as the warming effect is slight and welcome. This was a nice BSA. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2008 [1406-20080530] Bottle. Citrus grassy hops aroma has lots of orange peel and a hint of lemon juice. Hazy, medium orange brown body with a quick off-white bubbly head. Tasty grapefruit sweet navel orange citrus flavour has grassy bitter hoppiness. Medium body is quite hoppy. Quite nice.
(5T @ Mondial; Montreal, QC) hombrepalo (506), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled @ Hopcat’s. Too watery, felt like this was done wrong. Spices and simcoe hops dominated the aroma. Color was trasparent, nice head. The smell was a lot better than the taste. Missing something here. Not what I expected. SpudClampDawg (949), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 10oz draft at the brewery: Glowing orange pour with a creamy, thick head. The nose is all Simcoe to me, apricot, mango and lots of sweet orange. The body is sweet and rich with a plethora of Belgian-esque attributes. The Simcoe takes the place of a orange peel addition, adding a uniquely American aspect to a solid Belgian-style beer. The results are great - crisp and fresh tasting, the hops play off the wheat, banana and bubble gum adding a great complexity. Very easy to drink for a high ABV brew.
