faroeviking (4386), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark May 1, 2008 Botella, mis gracias al seņor Jesper/yespr. Pours a bit hazy deep brown colour with a quite short lasting head. Sweet quite fruity black currant alco aroma. Good mouthfeel. Quite sweet and lovely fruity lightly bitter alco black currant flavour. The strongest and the best fruit beer I have ever had. More of that por favore!
General_Gao (2568), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 25, 2008 12oz bottle shared by iowaherkeye. Poured a clear garnet brown color with a light tan head. Smelled distinctly of berry juice and raw alcohol. Like a fruit liqueur. Medium to full bodied and sweet with a big warming alcohol effect and lots of berries (especially raspberry). Syrupy in a cough medicine kind of way. A berry flavored cought medicine, if you will. A bit much, but interesting. Magic_dave6 (3975), London, Greater London, England Sep 19, 2008 Bottle thats to hopscotch at home with mesandsim. Alround rating: Alcohol, blackcurrents and loads and loads of rubbing alcohol, its just soo big and over powering that its hard to get much else. We shared this between the 3 of us and no one finished thier glass, it was like the strongest cheap european lager ever made with a bottle of cassis added and it was really bad. Even at the end of the night when everyone had gone and i was like just something to put me to sleep, i poured this down the drain. walleye (827), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Sep 8, 2008 I cannot believe I haven’t rated this yet I have had sevarl bottle and on tap many times. This is one of the beers I like to have for that after dinner drink. poured dark brown mixed with some purple with a small tan head. aroma all that is good in a sweet beer, currents and other berries some caramel andwith a nice alcohol kick flavor sweet beeries. those currents and alcohol. puzzl (1811), New York, New York, USA Sep 2, 2008 Dark brown pour with minimal head. The aroma is in your face apple juice and pear, berry, and tons and tons of booze. Yikes. Sweet, soggy, wet cardboard flavor, very tough to drink and incredibly sweet. Kind of makes me feel sick. I’ll be using the rest of this to cook. I liked it better when I had it on tap, no doubt. DA (2464), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Aug 30, 2008 RBSG 2008. Interesting, seemed to work, but not what I was expecting. Sweeter body, chocolate and caramel flavor up front. The cassis flavor blends in, adding another layer of flavor. Everything compliments each other nicely, but a tad overly-sweet.
