Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

5L mini-keg at a New Year’s Party. Pours a pale, golden yellow with a white creamy foam head. Pleasant lager aroma of barley malt. Flavor is a perfect balance that I have been missing for a long time. Nice citrus bitterness flows evenly with the grainy malt character. Medium bodied at extemely easy to drink. I had more pints than I was expecting, it is just so smooth and creamy... delicious. Prost!

500ml bottle from Quaffs, Spitalfields Market. Pale gold with thick white head. Light lager aroma, bit of metallic pale malt. Very light in mouth, with a quickly disappearing flavour. Some metallic carbonated sting. Faint lemon. No off flavours, but just a lack of anything.

5L keg from Dilly Deli. Poured clear golden color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Balanced bittersweet flavor with a moderate sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Bottle. [Courtesy of nicolascage, session @ Ølbaren] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Clear flat looking body with a yellow color. Spare lacework. Aroma of cardboard, caramel, grain, hay, grass. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Balanced bitter and sweet. Light dry and light bitter finish. 18-09-2007, Thanks Lars!

50 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Dry hay aroma, somewhat vague and thin. Flavour is hay and dry. Finish is dry. Decent and slight boring.

5L keg at our Septoberfest party. This beer pours a pale yellow color with a medium thick and frothy white head that diminishes slowly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of mild hops and grainy malt. Light-bodied with a bready malt and hops flavor. Not a whole lot else going on aside from touches of spice. The finish is clean and earthy with a short-lived malt aftertaste. Average-ish.

Pours a very minimally hazed straw/gold with a bright white head. Nose is as to be expected for the style. Slightly hopped and earthy. Flavor is fairly robust. Good, but not overly unique. Smooth bitter edge with a slight sweet touch. Feel is standard. Drinkable? Absolutely. This may not be the most inventive of the style, but you could certainly session this one quite easily. More of an everyday beer instead of a special occasion one. For some reason as I drink this I have the urge to eat a big fat pork chop with this.

Crisp and grassy pils with a sweet fresh wort nose. Pours golden with a strong head. Good malts, give a honey and light malt flavor. Not as crisp as I like pils to be, the finish really lets me down. Could use more hops and more attenuation.
