Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Bottle. Yellow with a nice big creamish well lasting white head. Aroma of hops and bit fruitiness. Flavour is fresh and bit crispy, some sweetness, good hoppiness with some maltiness. Dry bitter finish. A good tasting German Pilsener.

From a 5 liter barrel:
Pours a clear, brilliant yellow color. Head is big, white and creamy. It leaves a film and a neat lacing. Aroma is herbal, fresh with notes of grass, mint, cereal grains, anise and a little of yeast in the form of cardboard. Flavor is slightly bitter, herbal with a malty base. It has sweet touches of cereal grains with a good hoppy presence, but overall flat and unexciting. Body is medium, creamy and smooth. Carbonation is low, surprisingly. Finish is medium, chalky with some earthy notes. Herbal aftertaste. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

This is a solid German pils. It does have some soap in the flavor, but there are also hops and a light malt base. Refreshing, more than it is anything else. Gold color, well carbonated.

Cellar’s Tasting. Gold color with a thin head. Smells and tastes of fresh grains and very mild hops. Simple but good.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden colour with only a thin white head. Awesome malt and hop aroma with a bit of grassiness. Taste has a bit of spice present but a great abundance of malt with some graininess. Nice bitter hop finish.
