Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Light golden color wtih a small white head. Nose of hops and spices, with a clean, crisp taste. Good finish. A very solid German pils that was quite refreshing.

Typical looking German pils , pale yellow with a nice sized pure white frothy head. Slightly hoppy spicy aroma along with some bready maltiness. Malty taste to begin, semi-sweet, slight metallic, then a nice enough hop bite at the end.Ok on the palate. Nothing really to this one, a average very drinkable clean German pils.

Bottle. Pours pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of metal, grass, sweet malts. Flavor is bitter, hay, and malts. I didn’t like this brew.

nice foamy head rests atop a light straw-colored body. nicely malt background but with a thinnish mouthfeel. very refreshing, even at slightly warmer temps but fairly insubstantial overall. no flaws, but no major positives either.

Bottled (BB 10/2006)
Pale golden color, lively carbonation, decent white creamy head. Metallic hoppy aroma. Sparkling carbonation dominates palate. Metallic, woody, Czech-type pils (without buttery flavors). Good malty background. Just slightly up from "German bulk lagers" -pils.

Bottled. Golden colour, with minor white head. Aroma standard pilsnerish, thought the malts have a very vegetably touch. Flavour also quite standard pilsener, malts and hops, and quite salty.

Lightly spicy herbal aroma. Pale golden with rocky head. A bity dusty, a touch of cookie, but not much else in the malt department. Moderate bitterness, average malt character, moderate-full bodied, some straw and honey, a bit flabby in the finish. Unoxidized (apparently fresh bottle) Moderately bitterstweet finish.
