Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Flavour had malty with mild hops that gave it a bitter finish.

Pours bright gold into a pilsner. Bright white head with good retention leaves spidered sheets as it recedes. Sweet caramel aromas. Crisp and tingly upfront with roasted malts and lasting bitter Hallertau finish.

Bottle. Pours a gold color with a light white head. Decent lacing. Malty, grassy aroma along w/ flavor. Light bodied. Goes down very easily, a little bitter on the finish, but overall nice mouth feel. Very refreshing. Not bad.

Golden colour. Gentle carbonation. Substantial mossy, herbal hop aroma. Soft body with a somewhat toasty malt character. Only a little bit of grassy hop - the promised herbal dryness never materializes and the finish descends almost to doughiness.

I was in the mood for a refreshing german pils, and despite the low ratings, this one does not disappoint - clear light gold with a fizzy head - effervescent body - crisp, grassy noble hop aroma, with light honey underneath, and a light, dry maltiness - full carbonation in the mouth - quite dry and light, with a lot of herbal and floral hop character - a very mild sweetness develops under this, but fades fast, leaving a dry, semi-bitter finish - yet another under-rated german pils.

Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Very light yellow with a fizzy white head. Strong wet grain aroma and taste with a clean crisp finish.

Bottle. Has a great big lasting fluffy white head but the color is pale straw. Typical pils aroma with good herbal qualities. Pretty high carbonation. Has a very nice flavor profile. Some sweet malt balances the crisp but quick, spicy herbal hops. Clean finish.

Draft at Binny’s South Loop. I believe this to be the correct beer, had as Kumbacher Pils. Pours a nice looking soft yellow with a touch of chill haze. Nose is grainy, mild continental hops and wet barley. On taste, very drinkable and fresh with the green hops coming through just enough with bitterness to balance it all out. Nice enough Pils.
