Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Very clear. Little aroma. Weak tasting with a bitter finish. Not a great example of the style.

Just an unremarkable beer from the start. The only Kulmbacher beer I’ve had was their eisbock, and it was outstanding. I wasn’t hoping too much from this one, and there just wasn’t anything here to really enjoy.

The beer pours out a standard golden yellow color, clear with a sudsy 2" thick white head. The head melted away just as quick as it poured. I’ve seen heads on a pour of Coke stay longer than this! Aroma is minimalistic. Light notes of grains, citrus with a bit of honey. Thankfully, nothing foul crept into this beer. Flavor is lightly hopped, dry with just a touch of malts (reminded me of corn). I’m sure there are worst offenders out there, but this one just didn’t grab me like I hoped. Still, it was refreshing.

Buona pils, assaggiata al Matricola in viale Romagna (vicino a Piazza Piola); accompagnata con un panino con selvaggina e asiago. Insieme al Muzio, dopo il funerale dei PGR.

Golden color with minimal white head. Very effervescent but not much aroma other than a little malt and hops. Maybe a little grass. Flavor is crisp and clean. A fine beer.

Sweet, hoppy and grainy. I like the aroma, I like the look and it goes well with food.

I’m always up for a good pilsener and this one definitely hit the spot. It poured a golden yhellow with a huge white head. Plenty of carbonation. Nice skunky smell. Very smooth and crisp. Not as flavorfull as the aroma would lead make you think.
