Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

Found this one bottled at the World Market in St. Charles, Illinois. Crystal clear, light yellow pour with a thick, white head. Light nose of grassy hops. Clean, balanced palate. Weak finish. This is an absolutely typical pilsener in every respect.

Bottle. 11.2 fl. oz. Clear, pale, golden straw color with fine, white head. Clean aroma of grain and malt. Light bodied with a smooth palate and a dry finish. Crisp flavor is fairly bitter with a slightly sweet aftertaste. A refreshing beer without much else going for it.

Clear faint watery yellow color. Watery grassy, faint hop scent. Crisp, clean, light, watery, grass, very faint hop taste. Not much to enjoy, seems like some American Larger.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Simple pilsner. Pours clear light gold. It is what it is & a decent pilsner. Slightly medicinal & herbal, light mouth feel, brings me back to my younger days when I thought Becks was good

pours a clear yellow with a 11/2 finger fluffy white head. aroma is pilsner malt and some hops with a little lemon. has a light to medium body with ok lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but a little stronger. it has a small dry hop aftertaste but is a bit flay on the palate. all in all not bad of a pilsner.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a light note of honey, hint of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Pilsners never get much love here, but when they’re good, they really can hit the spot (in the same way a good saison can, at least wrt drinking enjoyment). This has a bright hop nose, great balance, and is pretty clean (some DMS, sure, but not much). Good stuff.

This beer pours a golden yellow with little to no head. The aroma is very typically skunky . The flavor is classic pilsner and I gotta say, I actually liiked this one. It was kinda dry with lots of good hoppy character! Cheers!
