Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

on tap @ Memphis Taproom - wow - I’m surprised the rates are this low! Pours a bright gold color with a small but persistent white head. Aroma is fresh malt and spicy hops. Flavor is right on for a european brewed pilsner - crisp, dry, good malt flavor and a great spicy hop finish. I thought this was one of the more drinkable pils I’ve had all summer. No diacetyl flavors - yeah!

Bottle. Clean aroma, a bit fruity. Hoppy, dry, light flavor. Too little malt, but a good hop bitterness. Decent enough but not exciting.

I’m not a huge fan of pils but this is pretty good. Very refreshing, crisp, and clean. Light pale body with a thin white head that stays throughout the drink. Spot lacing. Smell and taste are average malt and hops. Good balance. Simple can be good.

Clear pale piss color with a fleeting white head. Dry pale malt aroma with witch hazel. Light/medium body. Half way decent dry pale lager flavors with some spicy malts. Nice crisp clean quick finish thank heaven.

Golden clear ale, medium sized lasting white head. Sweet, mild aroma. Lively carbonation. Malty sweet flavour with some bitterness in the finish. Uncomplex, pleasant pilsner.

Poured from Bottle into Imperial Pint glass. Pours a clear golden with orange hues and a couple fingers of white bubbly head that remains a layer atop the glass that appears almost milky and consistent. The aroma is grassy hops and is accompanied by some yeast and nutty malt. The flavor is sweet, bready malt upfront with some nice earthy hop accents and finishes with a soft bitterness. Its light bodied and very effervescent and a touch watery. Its an okay beer but lacks many body and malt characterstics that I find desirable for my sessionable, drinkable brews.

(bottle - 330 ml) Clear gold color with a fizzy and lasting white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some grassy hints and a slightly corny aroma. Flavor is sweet and dry at the beginning with a stale and grassy middle and a very lightly bitter and sweet finish. Watery and drinkable.
