Commercial Description:
Kulmbacher Edelherb is pale and dry. Its special taste is thanks to the soft brewing water from pristine, crystal-clear springs of the Fichtelgebirge, the noblest malting barley from regional farmlands, handpicked hops from the Hallertau, and our legendary brewing skills.

A light yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet with good notes of hops and grain. The flavor is well hopped and slightly bitter.

(Bottle 33 cl) Normally a Southern-German pils is expected to be less bitter than their Northern counterparts. But this is an "Edelherb" and hence rather hoppy - both bitter but also with a lovely aromatic hoppiness. Still this has room for a certain softness in body. Straw golden with a nice creamy head. 291099 and 060903

50 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Dry hay aroma, somewhat vague and thin. Flavour is hay and dry. Finish is dry. Decent and slight boring.

Bottle. Clear yellow / golden color with a average fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty and hoppy, straw. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. A refreshing Pils but nothing to write home about.

Bottled. Golden colour, with minor white head. Aroma standard pilsnerish, thought the malts have a very vegetably touch. Flavour also quite standard pilsener, malts and hops, and quite salty.

Golden colour. Gentle carbonation. Substantial mossy, herbal hop aroma. Soft body with a somewhat toasty malt character. Only a little bit of grassy hop - the promised herbal dryness never materializes and the finish descends almost to doughiness.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Flavour had malty with mild hops that gave it a bitter finish.
