Very dark brown color with a big beige head. Aroma has lots of malt, some caramel, light roastiness, some subdued chocolate notes, hints of fruits and alcohol. The sweet flavor is bursting with malt and has caramel, some bread and light roasted notes. A good thick body. Really good, I wish I’d tried this one on some cold January night and not on a sweaty middle-eastern July night. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Yummy...this stuff is potent, but hides it’s alcohol well under it’s thick malt profile. The toffee malt flavor dominates this brew, mouthfeel is awesome nice and smooth. I think i’ll have to seek out more Eisbocks in the future. LooseCannon (927), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

Color was a good looking dark auburn with a smallish head. Aroma of caramel coverd raisins and sugary nuts, with a hint of alcohol. Alcohol was well hidden. After taste was very minimal and the flavor was very smooth overall. Similar flavor elements as the aroma. Good stuff. vulcanmeister (102), La Grande, Oregon, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 30, 2008 This beer is almost too good to believe! I’ll admit I’m still a novice, but for my money, this is one superb beer. It starts with a dark ruby pour with a medium head with a medium light tan head that fairly quickly fades and a brisk effervescence. The aroma almost knocked me over...the brown sugar and caramel aroma was incredibly sweet. The mouthfeel was rich, creamy, with just the perfect fullness and body. The sweetness was again evident in the taste along with a barrage of malt, sugar, various fruits, and the glowing warmth of the generous alcohol content. The melody lingered on long with a train of brown sugar, malt, fruit, and especially raisins. Prosit! Goodgrief (1149), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Beer pours with all the characteristics of cola. You’d be hard pressed to tell the difference side to side. This beer has all kinds of sweetness in it, but avoids even approaching sickly sweet. Malt balls, raisins, licorice, plums and brown sugar. Mouthfeel was almost perfect for the beer, just enough carbonation to keep things crisp. Good brew. johnnyoski (160), Macomb, Michigan, USA

Aroma of fig and other spices. Very complex taste that includes licorice, raisin and roasted malt. Quite heavy on the palate and it finishes sweet with a slight hint of the alcohol.
