Hmmm... this is a broad complex that shies from any kind of resolution. What seems like serious hops of a different standard. Interesting but ultimate subtle. Some smoke, Some tobacco. Goes everywhere but ends up nowhere. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

Dark brown, almost mahogany with a fairly large creamy head. Sweet, potent aroma of smoky-roasted malts, cane sugar, and apples. Taste is heavy with strong malts, very chewy. Elements of caramel and very bold roasted grains. Very nice brew! GG (1654), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2007 A very nice beer. Glad to know that I have several more bottles of the beer waiting for me. The last eisbock I had was a bit overwhelming so I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this one. Everything was in great form. An aroma chocolately raisins/plums, dark brown sugar, and black cherry ice cream. The taste is equally as sublime as the aroma with strong notes of molasses, vanilla, chocolate, cookie dough and dark fruits. Extremely easy to drink, which is dangerous at over 9% alcohol. Very nice beer.
