| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 28, 2008 This stuff is tasty. Pours a dark brown color with reddish highlights. Head is small to medium sized and is an off white color. Nose is booze, chocolate, caramel, yeast, and bread. Taste is very sweet with some caramel and sugar. The alcohol content is somewhat present but it makes the beer what it is. I enjoyed this one and the holographic label is pretty different as well. JohnnyJ (1356), Carlsbad, California, USA

This stuff smells strongly of alcohol (kind of like a hard liquor) also roasted sweet malt and caramel. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, and caramel, with a sweet alcohol finsh. Good, but I was looking forward to more. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 17, 2004 What's better than a bier hand delivered from Germany? A good one. Thought that this one would help me break my standard St. Paddy's day outing. Very nice brown - ruby tinged with with light. Low carbonation. Soft to the pallet, sweet, but not cloying in the least. I have no idea if this is fresh or aged as theres no date (haltbar bis: ?) I find the alcohol very well hidden. Fruity - (dates) and chocolate. VERY enjoyable. Thanks to Pivo ever so much.
