The pour was a blackish red with a four finger lingering head. Malt and caramel in the taste and a bittersweet ending wrap it up. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

Wow...Aroma was sweet molases...Pour was dark brown, thin, watery tan head. Flavor was dangerously delicious! Sweet malts, vanilla, brown sugar. Way drinkable for the alcohol content...Man, alcohol sneaks up on you and slaps you in the face! This beer could become a regular for me. This beer could get me in trouble. In fact, it kind of did!!! yesyouam (602), Fairport, New York, USA

It has a sweet, tart aroma. It is medium-full bodied and syrupy. It’s very sweet, tast and malty. The flavor is very clean and strong. This is nice. I’ve never had an eisbock. It’s kind of like a barleywine. djd07 (746), Houston, Texas, USA

Pours a dark amber with a paperthin light copper head that diminishes quickly to nothing and a lot of carbonation. The aroma is sweet caramel malt with dark fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet fruity malt flavor with raisin and cherries. Hides the alcohol very well making it easy to drink. A very impressive Eisbock from Kulmbacher. emerica56 (583), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 6, 2007 This beer pours a clear opaque brown and amber color. There is no head nor is there any laceing to it at all. It has a very sweet smell of maple sugar. As you drink it there is a ncie tangy bitterness initially, but as it warms up you start to get some hints of cherry and some nice sweet yet mildly bitter flavors that coat the sides of your mouth and last for a while. It is very thick and smooth as it slids down your throat. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA

Appearance: Very deep brown with garnet highlights and a small tan head. The head disappears fairly quickly.
Aroma: Caramel, dark dried stone fruit, plum, and some brown sugar. Very nice.
Flavor: Mirrors the nose with notes of caramel, prune, plum, dried cherries, brown sugar, spice, and a decent bitterness. Sweet with warming alcohol.
Palate: Low carbonation with a rich mouthfeel and medium-long, sweet finish.
Overall: This is a great beer for those cold winter nights. Well done!
